Welcome to my blog... I'm going to post some pictures of the things I've been making and record the progress of my venture into the world of crafty commerce.
I've been focusing on making jewellery from recyled beads and these are for sale on a fantastic little stall in Afflecks Palace in Manchester. As well as using recycled materials I make some of my own beads and love nothing more than shopping for new beads. I am also co-producing a recipe book and love baking so have included my baking adventures too.

A very vegan birthday basket

It is my friend's birthday today and for his birthday I made a vegan hamper. It contained homegrown courgettes and beans, a vegan coffee & peanut butter cake, a homemade loaf of bread, tomato & chilli jam and carrot jam. Marvellous.


Carrot Jam- Very delicious like marmalade but prettier. Extremely easy to make. This recipe made 2 jars.

Ingredients

1 pound of grated carrots
3 cups of sugar
The juice and zest of 1-2 lemons according to taste

1. Place all ingredients in a pan, on a medium temperature heat until sugar is dissolved and at gentle boil
2. Reduce heat and simmer for around 30 mins
